Family Intake Coordinator Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is seeking a full-time Bilingual Spanish/English Family Intake Coordinator. The Family Intake Coordinator oversees and coordinates referrals that come to Family Building Blocks. They will follow up on New Baby Questionnaires (NBQs) completed in hospitals and by community partners, as well as connect with parents who self-refer to receive FBB services. This role serves as a welcoming and positive liaison for families, establishing rapport through regular phone contact, and helps families navigate community resources to support a safe and nurturing home environment for their children. The Family Intake Coordinator is an essential member of FBB's screening and intake team. This position works with a diverse population facing significant life stresses and requires discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Contacts are numerous and frequent with individuals and groups outside the organization, including co-workers, families, service providers, and other community partners. Facilitate common language about FBB services within all of the staff that support FBB waiting lists and assisting in unifying tools used (ie. closing letters, ways to engage) Follows proper protocol related to sharing confidential information about clients. Provides professional and respectful client and customer service. Acts as a team member which includes active participation, working well with others, and supporting team efforts. As a member of FBB's intake team, assist as needed with screening and intake processes. Connecting Families Delivers respectful and immediate support to families in crisis using a strengths-based approach. Completes initial phone calls to families referred to FBB, to learn about their needs and connect them to the program that will best fit their needs and interests. Maintains regular contact with families until they are connected with an agency for ongoing support. Attend community events and resource fairs to share information about Family Building Blocks Serves as the initial point of contact and service navigator for families, to learn about their needs and connect them to the program that will best fit their needs and interest. Data entry Ensures that family's information is accurately entered in the database and that systems and processes are being followed. Develops strategies, processes, and documents that support the work. Volunteer & Intern Support Supports the work of FBB volunteers and interns as an integral part of program services. Provides learning opportunities for volunteers and interns while participating in program services. Acknowledges their efforts by participating in recognition events and sharing their accomplishments.
