U.S. Senators Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) said today they are joining Senate colleagues to condemn the Trump Administration’s mass firings of federal employees at the Office of Head Start (OHS) and the Office of Child Care (OCC) and to urge Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to reinstate these employees immediately.

The National Head Start Association held its Parent and Family Engagement Conference last week in New Orleans.

October is Head Start Awareness Month.

OHSA submitted testimony supporting House Bill 3005, which would create a new $100 million fund for infrastructure projects that would allow child care providers to serve more children.

The Oregon Head Start Association’s primary focus is to address the challenges that many Head Start programs face.
