Job description

Do you have a passion for the health and wellness of your community? CSC is looking for a Health and Nutrition supervisor who is responsible for all aspects of health, safety, and nutrition in our preschool facilities. At Head Start we provide free preschool education to children ages three to five years old in a nurturing learning environment that includes parents as important resources for their children's learning. We focus on the "whole child" and include as part of our program the child's educational, health, family, and social needs. Head Start is a systems-based program addressing the social determinants of poverty. The program is founded on diversity and equity in all aspects of education and social functioning. We are child focused and family centered. Our outcomes speak to the excellence of our program. We operate three Head Start locations in Lincoln County: Toledo, Newport, and Lincoln City. Our Health and Nutrition Supervisor oversees compliance with federal, state and county guidelines, and exercises supervision over assigned staff. • 40 hours per week M-F. • Excellent employee benefits. o Platinum medical, dental and vision benefits, for you and your dependents. Minimum Requirements Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in related field with experience in health and nutrition required. Ability to supervise subordinates, provide leadership, monitor performance, conduct interviews, coach/counsel/develop employees, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Bilingual English/Spanish and previous Head Start experience highly preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, health verification form, and enrollment in Oregon Childcare Division Criminal History Registry.
