Support Families. Support Communities. Support Head Start.

Last week, the National Head Start Association (NHSA) learned that the administration is considering a budget proposal that could eliminate Head Start. While this proposal has not yet been formally introduced by the president or brought to a vote in Congress, the possibility alone is deeply concerning. Head Start has long been a vital lifeline for children, families, and communities across the country, and needs to be protected.

In response, NHSA is asking Head Start alumni, parents, families, and caregivers to take action by signing a letter to President Trump and members of Congress, urging them to protect and preserve Head Start programs. This simple action can send a powerful message about the lasting value and impact of Head Start in communities nationwide.

Additionally, you can make your voice heard by sending a message directly to your representatives in Congress: https://nhsa.org/take-action/

We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more and share additional ways you can stand with Head Start and support the children and families who depend on it every day.
